Meet Linda

A Compassionate, experienced, Northern Colorado therapist

My first passion was music. I began my career with a Bachelor’s in Music Education and began teaching all-ages music in school. I soon realized being a school teacher wasn’t for me – and I left with a deep appreciation for teachers.

While I searched for my true purpose, I went on to finish my Master’s in flute performance. The beauty and emotion of the music called to me, but what was lacking was the sense of purpose.

In my 20’s, I moved to Okinawa Japan for a year. While there, I was a professional scuba diver with a resort located on that island. I also taught music in a bi-lingual school. I was immersed in the culture and the experience I had there was life changing. It was here my deep love for music and the ocean connected and begin to build a framework of working with emotions I still draw from today.

It wasn’t until I was 30 years old that it all clicked and I realized I ultimately wanted to help people. My understanding and appreciation of the rhythms of music, of crescendos and decrescendos, harmony and dissonance, inspired me to see if I could support others in uncovering the uplifting melody of life.

I graduated at 32 years old and did an internship at a community mental health center in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. From there, I went on to Counseling Services of Eastern Arkansas in Wynne. I had finally found my stride and continued to broaden my experience through multiple positions experiencing different populations and settings.

Finally, in 2015 I moved from Arkansas to Colorado and have been working with adults in an acute treatment unit ever since.

Opening this private practice is a dream I’ve been carrying since first embarking on this journey. Throughout my varied experience, I’ve finally discovered my forte – treating mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, and trauma.

I think part of what contributes to my ability to help with these conditions comes from my love of music. The rest, from my time at the water’s edge.
